John Parrat 1650

In ye name of God Amen, I John Parrat of Castlethorpe in ye County of Bucks Maltster being sick in body, but of perfect memory (god be thanked) do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
I do bequeath my soul into ye hands of my Creator, hoping to be saved through his mercy and merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my body I do commit to ye Earth to be interd according as my Christian friends shall think fitting
Item I do appoint my dear and loving Wife An Parrot to be my executor and my debts being payed, I do appoint my goods to be distributed thus
Item I do bequeath unto my eldest Son John Parrat and to his heirs my dwelling house in Castlethorpe with gardens, orchards, barns, outhouses belonging aforesaid, with a parcel of ground called Hemp land, adjoining to ye House, and another close called Swans close, one acre and one rood in Mill Holme, and three acres of land Throp field
Item I bequeath to my Son Richard Parrot and to his heirs 5 acres of land in Hales field, and one acre in ye Dean
Item I do bequeath to my daughter Mary five shillings to be payd by ye Executor
Item I do bequeath to my daughter An twenty pound to be payed unto her by my Son John att ye age of 21 years
Item I do bequeath to my daughter Sarah ye Sum of ten pound att ye age of 21 years to be payd by my Son Richard unto her
