In the name of God amen I Richard Paratt of Castlethroppe in the County of Bucks yeoman beinge sicke in body, butt in perfect Memory thanks be to God doe make and ordeine this my last will and Testament in manner and fforme followinge. That is to say, ffirst I commend my sole into the hands of Almighty God, my maker and Redeemer and my body to be buried in the Churchyard of Castlethroppe aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto my youngest Sonne Richard Paratt the summe of ffifty pounds of Currant English Money, to be paid unto him by the Executrix of this my last Will and Testament when he shall accomplish the age of Eighteene yeares Item I give to Mary my wife the Summe of ffifty pounds of like currant Money for her care and paines to be taken in the performance of this my Will And Whereas I the said Richard Paratt am possessed of certaine lands tenements and hereditaments lyinge dispersedly in Hansloppe and Castlethroppe parcel of the Manor of Hansloppe for divers years yet to come, and purchased by me of the Kinges Majestie, and that the state, or estates in Revercon soe lately purchased of his Majestie are now vested and settled in divers persons in trust for me my heirs and assignes And for as touchinge the same, my last will and Testament is as followeth ffirst I bequeath my personall Goods to pay the said Legacy my debtes and funeral charges unto Mary my wife, and doe also give her full power and authority to alien, sell and dispose such, and for much of the sayd Chattells Realls lands tenements and hereditaments (except one parcel of Ground called the Old orchard) as shall raise sufficient moneys for the payment of the Remainder of the said legacyes and debtes And my furder will is that all such persons as are putt in trust for me, shall ioyne in the said Sale and confirm the same. And for as touchinge thaforesaid Chattles Realls lands, tenements hereditaments that shalbe left unsold, after the said legacies and my debts shalbe fully satisfied I will that the said Mary my wife shall have and take the proffitts commodities, and emoluments thereof yearly Rysinge out of the same until my eldest sonne John Paratt shall accomplish the age of One and Twenty yeares, and in case he dye, then untill my said sonne Richard shall accomplish the age of One and Twenty yeares for the payment of one Annuity of twenty pounds per annum unto John Paratt my ffather duringe his life, and is now payable unto him by a fformer agreement out of part of the said lands and towards the bringinge up of my said two sonnes John and Richard. Item my furder will is, that after either of my said sonnes shall accomplish the age of One and Twenty yeares then I will and bequeath the one halfe of all and singular the Chattells Realls, lands, tenements and hereditaments before mentioned unto the said Mary my wife and her assignes duringe her naturall life payinge the One halfe of the annuity of twenty pounds before expressed And after her decease unto my said sonne John and to the heires of his body lawfully to be begotten, and for default of such Issue, to my said sonne Richard and his heires for ever Item I give and bequeath thother Moyety of the said Chattles Realls lands tenements and hereditaments unto my said sonne John at the age of One and twenty years and to the heires of his body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such Issue to my said sonne Richard and to his heires for ever payinge likewise thother halfe of the said Annuity before expressed And lastely I doe hereby make and ordaine Mary my said wife to be the sole Executrix of this my last will and testament and doe likewise appoint John Whalley Clerke and John Paratt my ffather to be overseers of this my said will and testament I doe give them ..d apeece In wittness whereof I the said Richard have hereunto sett my hand and seale dated the 20th day of November In the Eighte yeare of the reigne of our Soveringe lorde Charles by the Grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King defender of the ffaith Annoq Domini 1632
