Judith Nicholls 1832

This is the last Will and Testament of me Judith Nicholls of Castlethorpe in the County of Buckingham Widow First I will order and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences shall be fully paid and satisfied I give and bequeath the legacy or sum of five pounds to my nephew John Barrett of Olney in the County of Buckingham to and for his own use and benefit absolutely And I also give and bequeath the like legacy or sum of five pounds to my Niece Sarah Edmonds the Widow of John Edmonds late of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham deceased I give and bequeath all my wearing apparel unto my Sister Unice Churchill and my niece Ann Wrench (now residing with me) equally to be divided between them to and for their respective use and benefit absolutely (Except such part thereof at my Executor hereinafter named shall think proper to give to my said Niece Sarah Edmonds which I hereby direct and empower him to do) I give and bequeath all my household goods and furniture unto my said Sister Unice Churchill and my Niece Ann Wrench equally to be divided between them to and for their respective use and benefit absolutely Except such part thereof as my son William shall chose to select and which I hereby give and bequeath to him to and for his own use and benefit absolutely And as to all my monies and securities for money Book and other Debts and all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever after the payment and deductions aforesaid I direct that the same may be divided into three equal parts or shares one third part of which I hereby give and bequeath unto my brother Benjamin Churchill of Castlethorpe aforesaid to and for his own use and benefit absolutely One other third part thereof I hereby give and bequeath unto my said sister Unice Churchill to and for her own use and benefit absolutely and the remaining third part thereof I give and bequeath unto my said niece Ann Wrench to and for her own use and benefit absolutely And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son William Nicholls sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made and declare this alone to be and contain my true last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 17th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine Judith Nichols Signed sealed published and declared by the said Judith Nicholls the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses Joseph Kitelee Pris [Priscilla] Panter

Proved the 4th day of June 1832 before the Reverend Henry Qua..ley Clerk Surrogate by the oath of William Nicholls the natural and lawful son and sole Executor to whom Administration was committed he being first sworn duly to administer
