John Kitelee 1765

This is the last Will of John Kitelee of Castle Thropp in the County of Bucks Lace Merchant leaving my Soul to Almighty God in humble hopes of fforgiveness of all my Transgressions by the Mediation of my blessed Redeamer I give three shillings a week to my Uncle James Kitelee during his Life I give twenty pounds to Elizabeth Johnson I give twenty pounds to Caroline Agar if she lives to the Age of Twenty One I give to each of my ffirst Cousins three Guineas I give to Mary Britten wife of Joseph Britten ffive pounds I give to my Cousin Joseph Kitelee of Castle Thrupp aforesaid and my Cousin Robert Porter of Leckamstead in the County of Bucks ffifty pounds Each for their Care in the performance of this my will I give and bequeath all my Messuages lands tenements and hereditaments in Castle Thrupp Hanslope and Woughton on the Green in the County of Bucks or Elsewhere to the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter and their Heirs and assigns for ever In Trustee that they the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter and the survivor and the Heirs and Assigns of such survivor Do as soon as conveniently may be after my decease Sell and dispose of the same for the Trusts and Purposes hereafter mentioned I give and bequeath my Personal Estate whatsoever to the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter on the Trusts following I direct that the Money arising by sale of any Real Estate and the remainder of my personal estate after payment of debts legarys and all Charges and Expences Attending the Execution of this my Will be placed out at Interest in the name of the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter or the Survivor or the Executors or Administrators of such Survivor the Interest whereof and like wise the Principal I give and bequeath as follows I give the Interest and produce of one third part of the residue of the said real and personal estate to my Sister Elizabeth Kitelee during her natural Life but that the receipt of her Husband William Kitelee to be a discharge for the Same I give the Interest of one other third part to my Sister Mary Bellis her sole and separate use during her natural Life and I give the Interest of the of the remaining other third part to my Sister Katherine Atkins during her natural Life to her own sole and Separate use and with which none of my said Sisters present or future Husbands /except as herein after mentioned shall have any power or controul nor shall the same be liable to their debts demand and or Controul but their respective receipts notwithstanding their Coverture to be a sufficient discharge to my executors paying the same and on the death of either of my said Sister or Sisters I give the third part of the remainder of my Personal Estate the Interest whereof was paid to such Survivor Sisters so dying to be Equally divided amongst the Children of such Sister or Sisters living at her decease if only one Child to such only Child and if one or more of my sisters dye without having any Child or children living at her or their respective deaths but there shall be a Grand Child or Grand Children then I give the same to such Grand Children share and share alike If only one grand Child then such Grand child and in case one or more of my Sisters shall dye without having a Child or Children Grandchild or Grand Children then I give the share or part of such Sister or Sisters so dying to be equally divided amongst the Children of my Surviving Sisters or Sister share and share alike and if only one Child the whole to such Child if only one Grand Child the whole to such Grand Child but my mind and intent is and I Authorize and impower my Executors the Survivors and Survivor of them and the heirs and Admons of such Survivor to lend the third part of any said personal Estate bequeathed to my Sister Elizabeth to her husband William Kitelee on his Bond during the Life of my said sister and he may retain the Interest thereof during her Life and I also Authorize and impower my Executors aforesaid to hold the third part of my said Personal Estates bequeathed my Sister Mary Bellis to her Husband William Bellis on his Bond with her Consent during the Life of my said Sister and I also Authorize and Impower my Executors aforesaid to lend the remaining third part of my Personal Estates bequeathed to my Sister Katherine Atkins to her husband Thomas Atkins on his Bond with her Consent during the Life of my said Sister and my Will is that all or any part thereof be Lost by lending the same to the said William Kitelee William Bellis and Thomas Atkins that the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter or the Survivor the Heirs Executors or Administrators of such Survivor all in no wise be answerable for the same and my will is that the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter or the Survivor or the Executors or Administrators of such Survivors may retain to themselves all such Expences they shall sustain in the Execution of this my Will nor be answerable for the loss any money Except by their own absolute and willfull neglect nor be answerable Each for the other but each for his own Act and receipt only and I appoint the said Joseph Kitelee and Robert Porter Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made and do ratify this writing contained [in] two Sheets of paper as my last In witness whereof I the said John Kitelee have to the ffirst Sheet
