Thomas Earle 1662

Thomas Earle of Castlethorpe in the County of Bucks yeoman deceased his last Will to be as follows ffirst he devizes to his son William Earle his heires Executors and assigns The Messuage or Tenement with its Appurtenances situate in Castlethorpe aforesaid Called Dormers and all the Arable Land Ley meadow and pasture Ground thereto belonging and therewith used And alsoe all other his Messuage Lands Tenements and hereditament in Castlethorpe aforesaid except three Acres of Meadow in Whispens Mead and the Messuage or Tenement with its Appurtenances now in the possession of George ffletcher provided that his said sonne William his heires Executors and Assigns payout of the same unto his sonne John Earle One hundred pounds within Three years after my decease And my will is that the premises soe devised be lyable to the payment of the said One hundred pounds as aforesaid to whom soever they come He devises the said Messuage or Tenement with its Appurtenances in the possession of the said George ffletcher And all his ffreeland Containing by estimation Eight Acres and a halfe lying in Hales fields in Hanslopp to the said John Earle his Executors he gives and devises the Messuage or Tenement with its Appurtenances and the Closes thereto belonging and all the Lans and hereditaments situated and being in Longstreete End in the parish of Hanslopp aforesaid and in the Countie of Bucks or also where in the parish of Hanslopp which are Leasehold Land he purchased of Christopher Cowley and Two Acres of Meadow in Milholme One acre of pasture in Hales ffield and Two acres and one halfe of arrable Land in the said Hales fields which he also holds by Lease to his said sonne William his Executors and Assigns for the remainder of their respective Termes after his decease he gives and devises to his sonne Thomas Earle and his heirs the Messuage with its appurtenances in Oddhall end in the said parish of Hanslopp One Close called the Abbyes and the Thirty seven Acres of Arrable Land Ley meadow and sward Ground to the same Messuage belonging and his part of the Mannor of Totall being the premises not yet granted to him by Deed provided that the said Thomas the sonne or his heirs Doe pay to the said William Earle in Consideration thereof One hundred and Tenn pounds within Three months after the decease of the said Thomas the elder

And he further wills that if the said Thomas the sonne or his heires Doe not pay the said One hundred and Tenn pounds within the time aforesaid That the said Messuage Close Called Abbie Thirty seven Acres of Arrable Land meadowe and sward Ground and part of the Mannor of Totthall shall goe to his sonns William and John and their heires forever and he doeth desire the same accordingly He gives to Mary Parrott his Grandchild Twentie pounds to be paid fower years after his decease He gives to Susannah Parrott another of his Grandchildren Twenty pounds to be paid ffive years after his decease He gives to his Daughter the wife of William Abbott ffour score and Tenn pounds one halfe thereof to be paid within One year after his decease and the other halfe within Two years after his decease Provided further it is his Will that if is happen the said Thomas doe not pay the one Hundred and Tenn pounds to the said William Earle whereby the Messuage and Lands aforesaid in Tottall End happen to Come to the said William and John Earle and their heires as afore exprest Then that the said John Earle shall pay the One hundred and Tenn pounds to the said William within halfe a yeare after his decease And if the said John ffailes therein Then William and his heires shall hold and enjoy all the same Messuage Lands and premisses soever His Will is that John shall hold and enjoy what is given to him free from payment of debts and Legacies And that William doe pay them all that he be liable to And that the said One hundred and Tenn pounds be raised out of the said Messuage Lands at Tattallend be ymployed in and towards payment of his debts and legacies And he doth further will that his sonne Thomas and his heires and all persons clayming under him or them shall convey and transfer all his right title or interest he hath to the Lands and premises given to William Earle his heires and Executors as well as pay the said One hundred and tenn pounds within three months after his decease by such Conveyance or Assurance as the said William or his Councell shall reasonablie advise which if he refuses to doe within the said Three months The said Messuage Land and premises in Tottall End shall goe absolutely to the said William Earle and John Earle and theire heires Yett nevertheless subject to the Limitations exprest as to the said William and John He revokes all former Wills And makes and ordaines his sonne William sole Executor of this his Will Dated by his hande and seale The Twelfth Day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand six hundred sixty Two Thomas Earle Witnesse hereunto William Tompkins Thomas Tympe Geo Coldwell
