Joseph Addison 1845

In the Name of god Amen I Joseph Addison of Castlethorpe in the County of Bucks schoolmaster being sick in body but of sound memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following I give devise and bequeath to my sister Amelia clearly for her own absolute use and benefit after the payment by her of all my just debts all my freehold messuages lands tenements hereditaments and premises situate lying and being in Castlethorpe aforesaid viz one house shed and yard at present in the occupation of Joseph Cowley also one butcher’s shop house and yard in the occupation of Elizabeth Swannel also one Cottage in the occupation of Thomas Gostellow and also one Cottage in the occupation of Eunice Churchill to the said my sister Amelia Addison I do likewise give and bequeath all my household furniture plate linen glasse china to my brother William Addison I bequeath all my books my telescope and my violins also I do hereby make nominate constitute and appoint my said sister Amelia Addison my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this third day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty Joseph Addison Signed and declared by the above named Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our Names as Witnesses thereto
