The Wolverton Express October 25th 1907

ACCIDENT ON THE RAILWAY LINE

In the early hours of Thursday morning the midnight express out of Euston was suddenly pulled up just past Castlethorpe, and information was given that a passenger had been seen to fall out of the train. All traffic on the up and down fast line was transferred. In the meantime Mr. Brinnand, the Wolverton Station Master, was informed, and he very quickly appeared on the scene. A thorough search was made of the line between Castlethorpe and Wolverton, and the body of a man was found between the water chute and Castlethorpe, in the six-foot way. The body was removed to Castlethorpe, and taken charge of by the Police.

On the body was found an excursion ticket half from Euston to Rugby, and 2 photos. He appeared to be a man of about 35 years, and was well dressed.
