WAR SAVINGS. A meeting was held in the School last Saturday evening to consider the advisability of starting a War Savings Association for the village. The chair was taken by Mr. J. Luing, Chairman of the Parish Council, and a good number of people were present. Mr. F. J. Crick, Chairman of the Wolverton and Stony Stratford Central Committee, addressed the meeting, and answered a number of questions respecting the various schemes. It was decided to start an Association to work scheme 2a: and Mr. Luing was elected chairman. Mr. C. Bywater agreed to act as Secretary: and Mr. H. H. Middleton, treasurer. Messrs. Coey, Armstead, Rawlinson, Mapley, and Clarke agreed to act as a Committee. The Association has since been affiliated through the Wolverton and Stony Stratford Central Committee, and will start work at once.
