Castlethorpe, a small parish and village, in the Hundred and Union of Newport Pagnell, from which place it is 5 miles, 3 from Stony Stratford, 11 from Northampton and 3 from Wolverton station, on the London and Birmingham line of railroad. The church standing in the centre of the village, is ancient, with very low square tower, in the patronage of the Corporation of Lincoln, archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese of Oxford. Rev. James Mayne, M.A., of Hanslope, is the incumbent, and William Watts Esq., patron and lord of the manor. Acres, about 1,000.
